CONSTRUCTION OF CUSTOM FURNITURE DESIGN

The frame construction is a vital key to lasting strength and durability. 

  • Internally the frames are made of export quality eco friendly Pinus Radiata, box sectioned to add strength.  Inserted spreader rails provide optimal strength.  For added  solidity all joints are corner blocked and glued & high pressure stapled
  • The frame sides are all routed to remove hard edges to avoid the possibility of the foam and webbing being damaged
  • The outside backs and arms are fully lined with hessian and polyester

Depending on the furniture design, Pirelli-type webbing or tension sprung seats and zigzag sprung backs are used for the seats and backs of the frames

 

CUSHIONS

Cushioning is the true source of comfort in furniture design. Room Service Interiors strive to create the most luxurious cushioning.  From our ‘not so’ standard cushions to our super comfy ‘sit down’ cushions, each befits the most discriminating of bottoms. 

  • ‘Not so’ standard seat cushions are made of multi-density foams which provide clients with superior comfort.  Seat cushions are wrapped in our exclusive triple wrap. This adds a softer look and makes the furniture design even more comfortable
  • ‘Sit down’ cushions - For a more indulgent super comfy sit our foam core rests in a zippered all cotton casing, channelled like a duvet and hand stuffed with just the right blend of duck down and feathers for softness and durability.  For those of you appreciate the better things in life this means you can have the luxury and feel of a traditional down cushion, but without the maintenance of daily fluffing 

Our furniture design uses back and arm cushions that are a feather and fibre mixture encased in a down-proof fabric with a centre gusset to help shape and give supreme comfort. All fabrics are over locked and all seams on joins are top-sewn for additional strength. This means seams will not fray, giving increased wear & life for your favourite piece of designer furniture.  YKK zip and auto lock sliders are of the highest quality available.
